Cosmic Sailing

I love clipper ships. Wonder what it felt like to sail in them. Probably not pleasant. The ocean is a treachery.

Doesn't this look like you could just crawl inside and sit on that cozy red pillow-looking thing in the middle. The best cubby sofa chair ever!

OPI Silvers

DS Coronation
Birthday Babe

The OPI price tag led me to purchase some equally brilliant silver polish at Claire's instead. Very worth the price at buy 1 cosmetic item get another 50% off. So the polish came to $2. Excellent.

Moose and Tea

Moose and Green Tea, no relation of course except for the inspiring effect on me. On a separate note, contrary to what they really are, Moose (Meese?) seem so friendly and good-natured. Green tea subconsciously makes me feel like I'll become more zen and wise by drinking it.

Art Nouveau in We're Back

Art nouveau. My interest in it actually began with the LOTR Trilogy, particularly Arwen's room and Rivendell in general, but the pics online of it aren't very clear. Will post later on that, but for the present, I think these shots from We're Back give a nice example of the style that I like a lot.

Pink Magick

Trees and Musings

Isn't this a lovely day?
Yes, and it consists of eating macarons from Laduree (mind you, all of this is in my ardent imagination)
Looking at and reading Tim Walker picture books
Snuggling indoors from the cold with a warm set of slippers
Growing a massive tree in the middle of my living room? No, that was a nap.

Sakura Gel Pens

As demented as it sounds, I could literally tote all of these pens around with me every where I went. I'd be a journal-writing, doodling hermit, taking great pains to find just the right color to express the feeling and mood of my expressions. Maybe it's better this way.
I am a little bit obsessed with these.

TOAST-y Feet

TOAST catalog

These toes do indeed look toasty. Very fun in a group-look-setting.

Delia's Graphic Tees Picks

I really like Delia's Graphic Tees collection for the most part. They know how to choose good design. Here is my Wish List from Delia's.

Orange Dream Collage

Moms and daughters digging through complimentary goodie-bags
Camping out in tents in an old library? Take me there!

Constellation of Dreams

Speaking of dreams, here's a little jibberish I wrote sometime back.

Constellation of dreams

Gather your fears and blossoms of fright

To offer at the gate

Prepare to travel through the land of whimpering throats and watching eyes

Guardians of light

Connecting the blinking cosmos of dots

Enduring the sun’s fire is worth the wait

For in this journey

You find your inward joy and internal fight

The setting star carves a door through the rambling rush of noise

And marvels are born of silent nights

Blue clouds of crumbling blaze

Hot enough to roast a cake

Long stretch unshielded from wandering Slashers

Violent billows break the three-mast ship of sailing

This is part of the plan

Hurled into the realm of winking wallabies

Dancing around an erupting fire of bon

Rub your eyes and shake your head yes

Winding willows wince under the weight of centuries

Rootwork channeling deep tremors in the crafts of man

Traversing language and genius to feed by the tender brook of matter

Call for the mulberry moon to explain the reasons and give you passwords of rhyme

Your back sprouts wings of goose down

Hungry you spot a grove of glazed donuts enclosed in a hedge of stone

Yet the Passageway is guarded by cunning Whisperers

Who seek your fingers

No other escape but the

Water below the bridge runs blue with ink

Scribbling nonsense as it laps the sandy shore

Chanting wolves lurk in the shadowy forest reading all the water tells

Who goes there in this withering territory?

Cries the Wolf Sovereign

I only want to eat something sweet you say

You should try fruit instead and this river of ink is quite good with bread beams the King of Wolves

Ask the raccoons for some baked rolls

They steal it from the belly of wandering ships

Greedily you take from the forest bushes berries of black and dip your loaf in the inky drink

Oblivious to the wolves encircling

Licking their shiny fangs dripping with blue ink

Holding a million secrets and tales in the sapphire liquid

All of a sudden your foot slips on a rock and you tumble head first into the swift current of azure

Sinking deep

Inhaling gasps of it into your lungs

Stinging your eyes

Stifling a scream

The feathers of your wings absorb pounds of wet ink and pull you under

It tastes like

Fresh cut lawn, birthday cake, car exhaust, chlorine, buttery popcorn, and old concrete buildings

Spoiled milk, licking your finger from a paper cut, cotton candy, mothballs, salty tears and burning coal

The wolves scatter back to their caves

Shrieking about lost causes and the coming first light

As your mind succumbs to the waves

Leaving puddles of blue where you once stood by the inky edge

Spell the words

Only the wolves can read

A distant chanting sound from across the depths

Dawn is rushing to greet you

Fawns frolic in the blushing morn

Outside your bedroom window

Whatever thoughts have behooved you

Have been wrestled

Ironed out in the turbulent night, the blistered crinkles of your mind

Lashes flutter

*alarm blaring*
